Subaru EZ30R Pro Series Engine We’ve recently started building more and more of these, so I thought we should share some build pics. What you’re looking at here is a EZ30R Subaru engine (L, 6 cylinder boxer) that normally comes in the Subaru Outback/Legacy R and Tribeca. The continuous rated output is the output of an engine at optimum governed speed which is most favorable from the view point of engin's life and fuel consumption. When the engine is installed on a certain equipment, it is recommended that the continuous output required from the equipment to be kept below this continuous rated output. For the first time, the Subaru Legacy could be optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission, which allows the performance of the flat-6 motor to shine. This engine has been dubbed the EZ30’R’ by enthusiasts, however, Subaru’s official engine code was still EZ30D, as with the first generation. Basics.
